Weekend Vibes: Palm Springs!
The forecast for this weekend was hot, HOT, and HOTTER! But we survived :D
Celebrating my bestie’s birthday, we arrived in Palm Springs on Friday afternoon and checked into our swanky hotel, Hotel Zoso. The hotel was formerly the Hard Rock Hotel but has gone through some changes and is now Hotel Zoso again. I don’t know the whole story but we were told Chris Brown filmed his Privacy video here, fun fact ;)
On Friday it was hot.. af.. so after we checked in, we hung out at the room for a bit and then found ourselves in the lobby again for Happy Hour. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and a bomb Mulejito.
After chillin’ in the lobby we grabbed some water and hit the town to explore Downtown Palm Springs. It was still 100+ degrees outside so we actually didn’t do too much walking but we got past a couple of blocks.
After looking for a place to cool off at, we decided on checking out the Revel Public House. We ordered their sangria pitcher and at first I was thrown off by all the extra cinnamon in it but then it grew on me (enough to crave it again to come back the next day for more!)
After enjoying our sangrias we walked around a bit to see what the nightlife was like in the town. After seeing a few places we went back to the hotel to change and then finally hit the town for the evening.
Bars to check out in Palm Springs
*if you stay at Hotel Zoso and go to the DaySwim pool party your wristband will get you free entry into Copa :)
We tried all three bars but ended up at the Village Pub. There was a $10 cover charge to get in which is against our “if it ain’t free, it ain’t for me” policy but it ended up being a really fun night!
SATURDAY
Saturday morning we doordashed our Denny’s so we could eat while we got ready for the hotel’s pool party. Our hotel had a free pool party with a local dj and while it had potential to be really fun it was just way too hot to function so we ended up going back to the hotel to take another nap. (LOL, ZZZ’s for dayss)
After napping we decided to check out the pool party one last time but decided again it was way too hot and we wanted more sangria. We stopped to take a cute picture before heading out though!
The sangria the second day wasn’t as great as the first day but we order some shrimp and veggie skewers and a margarita pizza at Revel again which was sooo bomb. After arriving back at the hotel we relaxed in the room one last time and then decided to spin the town again.
This time we went to a tiki lounge. While it was cute, it wasn’t our cup of tea so we ended back at the Moxie which was a fun way to end the night. The next morning we hit the road at 6:30am to make it back in time for church (we are those people, haha).
All in all, twas a great trip with great friends. So happy for more memories to have with my loved ones.
P.s. I’m finally vacationing OUTSIDE of Vegas ;)
Until next time my loves!
